The Louisville combination ladder is a fiberglass ladder capable of converting from a fiberglass stepladder to a fiberglass extension ladder. Due to its fiberglass construction, the ladder is non-conductive, making it a good choice for use when working around electric.
This particular model is available in 6, 7 and 8-foot models. Depending upon the ladder that is selected, closed height of the ladder ranges from 81 inches to 105 inches. The maximum standing height in the step position for the ladders ranges from 3’9” to 5’7”, while the maximum standing height in extension position ranges from 5’7” to 9’5”. The maximum reach in step position ranges from 10’4” to 12’2” while the maximum reach in extension position ranges from 12’2” to 16’.
Regardless of the height, all of the products within this line have an ANSI Type 1AA rating and are capable of supporting up to 375 pounds. Each ladder within this line also boasts advanced heavy-duty impact resistant shoes with bonded non-marring tread and non-marring end caps, which helps to increase safety while also preventing the ladder from causing damage to the floor or other surfaces while in use. The ladder also features spreader braces with a wrap-around mechanism and a step rung lock to secure the fly section.
In addition to exceeding all safety standards as set by ANSI and OSHA, the Louisville combination ladder offers exceptional flexibility. As a stepladder, it can be used in an area where there are no walls or other solid structures against which it can be leaned. As an extension ladder, on the other hand, the ladder can be used to reach varying heights while being safely leaned against other surfaces. The ladder even includes a web pole grip to provide additional stability and safety when leaning the ladder against poles.
