Durable enough to be used for both residential and commercial purposes, the F-12 Series by Rainbow Attic Ladders boasts models capable of fitting ceilings ranging in height from 11’8” to 12’2”. As such, it is one of only a few attic ladders on the market that is capable of working with ceilings that are taller than 12 feet in height. In addition to boasting a taller height than most attic ladders on the market, the F-12 Series offers a number of attractive features that make it a good choice for any commercial or residential setting.
All of the ladders in the F-12 Series feature a sturdy ½” plywood door with positive latch combined with weather stripping for added security and energy efficiency. Each ladder within the series is also white in color with all powder coated steel, providing exceptional durability and an ANSI Duty Rating of 1AA with a maximum weight capacity of 570 pounds. Thanks to the built-in 1¼” steel trim, no casing is needed when installing this ladder. Meanwhile, the large safety handles at the top, the four separate one-piece steel handrails, the 1¼” wide x 3” deep side rails and the locking safety latches between sections provided additional safety and security when the ladder is in use. To protect your floor while also further increasing safety, each ladder within this series also features anti-skid tread strips and protective floor bumpers.
While there are many similarities among the models within the F-12 Series, there are some key differences. For example, the model that fits a rough opening of 22.5” x 60” has a step width of 10” while the model that fits a rough opening of 25.5” x 60” has a step width of 12.5”. Meanwhile, the model that fits a rough opening of 30” x 60” has a step width of 17”. All three models, however, have a step depth of 3”.
