Designed for both commercial and residential use, the F-13 Series by Rainbow Attic Ladders features models that range are able to be used with ceilings ranging in height from 12’6” to 13’4”. As such, it is one of the only attic ladders on the market that works with ceilings that are more than 12 feet high. In addition to offering an exceptional height, the ladders in this series offer a number of outstanding features.
All of the three-section folding attic ladders in the F-13 Series share common features. For example, each ladder features built-in 1¼” steel trim, which means no casing is needed. Each also features a sturdy ½” plywood door with a positive latch, locking safety latches between sections, four separate one-piece steel handrails, 1¼” wide x 3” deep side rails and large safety handles at top for extra security. The ladder itself is all powder coated steel, which means it does not require painting, while the spring assist makes it easier to operate the stairs. For additional security and protection, each ladder also features protective floor bumpers and anti-skid tread strips. Meanwhile, weather stripping creates an energy-efficient ladder that will not allow heat or cool air to escape.
While all of the ladders in the F-13 series have a 570 pound weight capacity with an ANSI Duty Rating of 1AA, there are some differences in some of their specs. For example, the model that fits a rough opening of 22.5” x 75” has a step width of 10”, while the model that fits a rough opening of 25.5” x 75” has a step width of 12.5”. The model that fits a rough opening of 30” x 75” has a step width of 17”. All three models are white in color and have a step depth of 3”.
