Suitable for use in both commercial and residential settings, the F-9 Series by Rainbow Attic Ladders is capable of being used on ceiling heights ranging from 8'2" to 9'4". While there are some minor differences among the ladders in the F-9 Series, each offers a number of attractive features for use in both the home and the commercial setting. Rainbow F-Series attic ladders are the premium attic ladder on the market.
All of the ladders in the F-9 Series are three-section folding ladders boasting a number of safety features. For example, each ladder in the series features locking safety latches between sections to ensure it stays securely in place when use. The anti-skid tread strips and the protective floor bumpers further enhance safety while preventing damage from occurring to the floor when the ladder is in use. All of the models in the F-9 Series also offer white powder coated steel, thereby eliminating the need to paint the ladder, while the built-in 1¼” steel trim ensures that no casing is needed when installing the ladder. Meanwhile, the sturdy ½” plywood door with positive latch and the weather stripping help to increase energy efficiency while the spring assist makes for easier stair operation. Other safety features found in all of the ladders within this series include large safety handles at top, four separate one-piece steel handrails and 1¼” wide x 3” deep side rails.
With both of the ladders in this series boasting a 570 pound weight capacity and a step depth of 3”, the primary difference can be found in the step width. The model designed to fit a rough opening of 22.5” x 60”, for example, has a step width of 10” while the model with a rough opening of 30” x 60” has a step width of 17”.
