How Did Safety Step Stools Begin?

Manufacturing safety step stools since 1995, Safety Step Stools has facilities in Roanoke, Virginia as well as Salem, Ohio. Focusing solely on the manufacture and distribution of step stools, the company has designed and manufactured a wide variety of stepping stools. With each stool manufactured using aircraft quality aluminum and manufactured through a proprietary heat treat process, each stool is designed for maximum strength and environment. Through its comprehensive quality assurance program, Safety Step tests each model to ensure the greatest strength and durability.

Thanks to the company’s unique manufacturing process, Safety Step has the ability to manufacture custom stepping stools designed to meet the specific needs of a client. The company’s numerous standard models, however, are designed to meet the needs of specific markets, including the transportation, medical, recreation, educational and industrial markets.

  • Industrial Stepstool: Tested in accordance with ANSI 14.2, the industrial step stop boasts an anti-tip design, rugged all-aluminum welded construction, non-slip angled rubber leg tips, gripper strips and a 15 x 19 inch deck size. Available in 8, 10, 12 and 15-inch heights in black, silver or safety yellow finish. Lab tested to hold 1,000 pounds.

  • Heavy Duty Industrial Stepstool: Features a unique self-leveling anti-tip design, durable steel construction, and non-slip safety strips. Measures 15 x 19 inch top with a 12-inch height. Weighs 18 pounds and has an orange powder coat finish. Lab tested to 1,000 pounds.
